
Overview
It's said that victims of war die a second time if their remains aren't returned to their families. This is the case for over one million Japanese nationals who were killed during World War II. And recent reporting has revealed serious flaws in the government's repatriation efforts. The award-winning 2019 program and related reporting by NHK triggered a change in government policy.
