Overview
The race to the Guajira Peninsula is underway. Leaving the lake town of Flores, the teams can choose to travel through the mountainous heartland of Guatemala or discover southern Belize, exploring the golden sands of the Caribbean coast. They might also opt to take the path less travelled through Honduras, one of Central America’s least visited countries, on their way to the second checkpoint, El Zonte, a surf mecca along the Pacific coast of El Salvador.
