Overview
The setting is the sea taxi that travels between the islands of Kagoshima and the Amami archipelago. It serves as a means of transportation for the islanders' daily commutes and shopping, and has also been a part of important milestones in their lives. A woman boards the boat to buy daily necessities in bulk. A parent and child who fell in love with the island and moved here from Tokyo. At the end of March, teachers transferring from the island's schools also bid farewell to the islanders via the sea taxi. The island's pace feels somehow relaxed. What is life like with the sea taxi?
